Ormai è tradizione: quando qualche nostra coppia di amici aspetta un bambino, io e mia mamma, come regalo, facciamo un lenzuolino.
Lei si occupa del taglia e cuci con la macchina da cucire ( la parte più corta ma anche un pò più difficile, perchè comunque bisogna fare degli orli ben fatti) e io mi occupo del ricamo della striscia a punto croce.
Questa volta, i quasi neo-genitori sono due miei vecchissimi amici, cugini, che entrambi vivono in Belgio, ed uno sarà papà a marzo e l'altro ad aprile!
Dato che ogni tanto ci sentiamo su Facebook, quando ho saputo che avrebbero avuto delle bimbe ( sì, tutti e due delle femmine!!!) ho deciso di farli.
Il primo, che vedete subito qui sotto, l'ho modificato da un disegno che ho trovato su un giornale che ho comprato un paio di anni fa. Il disegno era maschile (facilmente risolvibile con il cambio di colori) ma la scritta era in italiano, quindi ho modificato le lettere (per fortuna c'era un alfabeto subito dopo il disegno) così ho potuto scrivere BONNE NUIT ed in seguito, per personalizzarla ancora di più, ho messo il nome della bimba, Mila! E poi una pioggia di stelle!!!!
It's a tradition: when one of our couple of friends is expecting a baby, mom and I team up and give as a gift a baby sheets set.
She takes care of cutting and sewing with the sewing machine (which is the shortest part but it's a bit more difficult, because you have to make really good hems) and I'm in charge of the cross stitch embroidery.
This time, the newly parents are two of my oldest friends, two cousins, both live in Belgium, and one's gonna be a dad in March and the other one in April!
Since sometimes we chat on Facebook, when I heard they were both going to have little girls ( yeah, both of them girls!!!) I decided to make them.
The first one, that you can see down here, I took the design from a magazine that I bought some years ago and modified it a bit. It was a bit masculine ( easily solvable with a colour change) but the writing was in italian, so I modified the letters ( luckily there was an alphabet after the design) so I was able to write BONNE NUIT and then, to personalize it even more, I put the little girl's name, Mila! And a lot of stars!!!!
L'altro lenzuolino, invece, è popolato dai principali personaggi Disney, in versione baby, dato che so che la mamma AMA i personaggi Disney!!! Questi li ho presi da un numero del periodico Disney Punto Croce, che ricevo a casa con l'abbonamento!!!!
The other one is populated by Disney's main characters, baby version, since I know that the mommy LOVES Disney's characters!!!! I got these ones one an issues of the magazine Cross Stitch Disney, that I get home with the subscription!!!
Una volta forniti di targhettina, giusto per far sapere che sono stati FATTI CON AMORE, li ho impacchettati per bene e li ho spediti!!!
